I came across this the other day, and pretty much I’ve watched it at least once a day for last several, and I’ve been meaning to share here. Winner at Anime Boston’s AMV contest a couple of weeks back, it’s a stunning montage of the history of TV anime showing some of the most popular and influential shows of the last forty odd years. It’s telling that even if I haven’t seen many of the older anime shown, I still recognize them.
Let me know what you think down in the comments!
Heh, as expected, among the ones I didn’t recognise were a lot I did watch, while I recognised a lot I never watched. A fairly good spread, too. At first I was confused, because I thought they were chronological, but chronology was only a rough guide.

This was a great AMV. It was wonderful seeing the rough history of anime. Thanks for sharing.

Reblogged this on Apprentice Mages Lounge. and commented:
Reposting an entry that didn’t get a lot of attention back when I was first starting out, and which certainly deserves it!
(Also testing the reblog function, something I’ve never used before.)

It was great to watch and listen to that. Really enjoyed and enjoyed recognising some classics (even the ones I haven’t seen are all pretty iconic).

That’s what struck me too… So many series that I haven’t seen but still recognized because of their impact.
