I have a tumblr, but literally never visit it. My posts go there, but that was as far as I got in setting it up. And honestly, I don’t have the time to do much more with it at this point.
I’m not sure how much I’m going to use it either… but it’s another way to get the word and it doesn’t cost anything, so sure – why not?
Do you see many visits via Tumblr?
I get maybe one or two a week, so enough that I don’t just delete the thing, but it isn’t a major driving source of traffic.
This was a major point of discussion for me last week. Ultimately decided against setting the thing up because it seems that we in the realm of written word don’t really do well on the platform. Maybe someday I’ll bother to set it up but it is so low on my priority list. Let me know how it works for you though.
It’s a pretty much a zero effort way to get the word out, so why not? I don’t plan on participating there, so I should be able to avoid the toxic elements. (I hope.)
