Anime OP AMVs, crossovers & parodies…

I know, I know.  A couple of weeks back I said that “it’s unusual to use the music from one anime to make an AMV for another”….  But there’s actually a special case where that’s less unusual.  Combining the OP track from one anime with footage from a second anime to create a crossover or parody opening sequence.

Spring 2018 – Week 4

Another week, another roundup of this week’s shows.

This week’s surprise discovery – a character’s name in a series this season has an unexpected real world meaning. What character? What meaning? You’ll have to read the entry to find out!

Seriosuly, I love sharing the odd side bits of information I find when researching shows.

Spring 2018 – Week 3

This week, mostly fast hot takes and I go full-bore grumpy old man on a couple of shows. (Hey! Maybe there’s my brand!)

If nothing else, do take a moment to read my discussion of Rokuhoudou. The second ep brings out some interesting things with regards to Japanese artisans.

So, let’s hit the jump and let’s dive right into it!

My notes & votes – the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2018 – part 2/3

It’s that time of year again! Crunchyroll is asking us, the users and viewers, to choose what anime are worthy of awards in a large span of categories. I thought I’d write up what I’m voting for and why for your amusement.  This post covers the second group, which we’ll be voting on next week (01/29-02/04).

Summer begins to fade… Summer 2017 Week 11

Well, it’s the first day of Fall today and we’ve already had our first round of cold and rain here in the Pacific Northwet.  That fits perfectly with this week’s summer season shows, which are almost all finale or penultimate episodes.

Summer 2017 – Week 10

Once again working on a weekly post to the dulcet tones of the landscaping crew’s leaf blowers.  Ah, well, at least it’s nice enough to have the windows open.  Even as the Summer anime season draws to a close, so does summer itself.  Likely by the time the Fall season gets underway the Pacific Northwet’s long and cold rainy season will have set in.

Anyhow, pretty much all shows have now aired their tenth and eleventh episodes, so the final cards are hitting the table. So, along with episode reviews and comments I’m going to peer into a murky crystal ball and look at how they’re likely to end.

Let’s hit the jump and get the party started!
