Well, here are – it’s the end of another season. Some good shows, some bad shows, some middle of the road shows. Hit the jump and let’s run ’em down!
Strong emotions this week in The Promised Neverland… Probably the strongest episode this week. And that’s saying something when you take Run with the Wind into account.
So, let’s hit the jump and dive right in!
As I said on Twitter yesterday, I got some very bad family news…. And as a result, my motivation/creativity is right out the window. Do want to get at least a shortened post out this week, to keep some kind of momentum. So, hit the jump and let’s chat!

I rarely pick an Episode of the Week (maybe I should?)… But if I did, this week’s episode of The Promised Neverland would be far-and-away the only possible choice.
Hit the jump and let’s take a look at that episode and everything else that happened this week!
Busy week with many surprising developments and reveals in a lot of shows! Hit the jump, and let’s dive right in!
The Quintessential Quintuplets is easily one of my favorite shows this winter. With a charming cast of characters and its own enjoyable twists on the classic harem formula, it’s tailor-made for fans of romantic comedies. Not to mention anyone who enjoys shipping wars, because the series reveals in the first scene that our main character, Futaro, will marry one of the five Nakano sisters, and actively encourages viewers to pick sides. Of course, we don’t know yet which lucky sister will capture Futaro’s heart, because what fun would that be?
To help untangle this romantic Gordian knot, I present my objective, utterly unbiased, and strictly scientific analysis of each sister’s chances of becoming the lucky bride, along with some bold predictions for how their stories will end, win or lose!
Disclaimer: this is based entirely on the first seven episodes of the anime, and contains mild spoilers for those episodes. I haven’t read the manga, but I intend to start as soon as the anime is over.
Aaand… its that time again! Mid-season, when I take a look at what I’m watching, where it’s been and where it’s going. Some shows are keepers, some… aren’t. Which is which? Hit the jump and find out!
Had a bit of writers block last week… But fully expected to spend the last few days getting caught up. I mean, we were going to be snowed in, what else did I have to do with my time?
Turns out that being snowed in (which up here is virtually never more than overnight or a single day) for four days isn’t as much fun as it sounds…
Either way, I’ve been remiss in writing and posting and didn’t want to go any longer without saying something. Plan is to work instead on next week’s Mid-Season gut check and overview (already in work) to get back in my groove. (I have really had a hard time hitting my stride this season.)
Anyhow, I’m caught up through Wednesday on my viewing schedule, so feel free to drop a comment and let’s chat!
Aahhh! Week three, most shows are starting to hit their groove and/or make their big reveals. It’s also the week of the (in)famous “Three Episode (or Madoka) Rule”… (I should write more on that one day.) That’s when a lot of folks decide whether or not they’re going to stay with a show.
How did this week fare for me? Did I drop anything? Hit the jump and let’s find out!

Given the choice between ever-increasing stress because I’m late… or pushing out something that’s not quite complete… I’m going with the latter on the principle that if “no publicity is bad publicity” then “no blog post is a bad blog post”.
That being said, let’s hit the jump and dive right in!
