Between a regular commenter talking about the manga coming to an end, watching quite a few favorite episodes, and an upcoming Anime Playlist post… Silver Spoon has been on my mind the last couple of weeks.
So, because it’s what I often do, I headed over to YouTube to seek out AMV’s, and came across this gem:
I have to admit, this left me laughing. The maker matched the animation clips to the words really, really well. (They even matched the lip flaps.) Instant bookmark, instant fave, and I just had to add it to my Worth Watching list and share it here.
Give it a watch and enjoy!
As always, feel free to comment here, but be sure and let the original maker know if you enjoyed it.
Also a quick note on this/next week: This week is crazy with IRL stuff… We’ve got plumbers coming in for a leaky hot water heater, and I’ve got to take my van to the body shop because I dinged it up on a lamp post… And my wife has been on staycation, so I’ve not been that motivated to work on the blog. So, I’m going to be skipping this week and covering all the penultimate and finale episodes next week.
Also in work is the Fall 2020 anticipation post, hopefully a Looking Back post or two, and an Anime Playlist post or two.
If I were to make a list of shows in desperate need of a license rescue, the classic NANA would definitely be on it. If it was available, there’s a whole bunch of people (including your humble author) who would be constantly talking it up. In the meantime, it’s story has inspired a number of AMV’s that are very much worth watching.
There’s a ton of Boku no Hero Academia AMV’s out there, almost all featuring Deku, or Bakugo, or Todoroki. When she is the subject, Ochako is almost always paired with Deku and it’s all about the shipping…
This is patently unfair. As we saw in the second season, she’s a person in her own right with her own motivations and goals. That’s why I’m pleased as punch to share this AMV, which puts Ochako Uraraka right where she should be – front and center in her own story.
As always, feel free to comment here or there… If you enjoyed this AMV, be sure and drop by the video’s page on YouTube and support the creator by giving a like or leaving a comment.
This lovely AMV popped up in my YouTube recommendations yesterday – and I just had to share it as soon as I could. Just today I’ve watched it about three times, even when I should have been doing other things.
Heavy on the feels, and with the video very nicely synced to the audio, it’s very definitely Worth Watching. I especially like the fast cuts during the drum parts right before the refrain – inspired!
Y’all now how my brain works by now… should be doing one thing (like working on the seasonal posts that are soon due), but it insists on working on something else. Anyhow, welcome to the first edition of Worth Watching – a new feature here at the Lounge exploring the world of AMV’s. More on that at the end of the post, first let’s hit the jump and watch some d_mm good AMV’s! Continue reading “Worth Watching – A new feature!”
