Wow – the 4th of July holiday has really messed up my writing schedule. My lovely wife took most of Monday off, which made it essentially a four-day weekend. We got a ton of much-needed chores done (yay, new bookshelves in the bedroom!) but we also had fun and ate well (YAY! for having a new grill!!). The best part was the strawberries… Fresh from a local farm, we served them over homemade cheesecake and made strawberry ice cream.
Nothing matters but the weekend

But I digress… We’re caught up on premiers and I plan on getting out my first overview post today or tomorrow. The Atom finale is this weekend, so Mon or Tues I’ll get the final post for Spring 2017 up which will also catch up other ongoing shows. I’ll also be talking about the special ep of Demi-Chan which aired over the last weekend. (If you haven’t seen it, Crunchy has it, go watch it! It’s very good.) The season wrap-up post should follow shortly thereafter.

A busy, busy week in anime… The final arcs of the season are in full swing, and most shows have turned it up to 11.

Still a little behind after the rush and madness of the Faire last weekend… But I managed to watch and write up the majority of the shows.

Despite being busy, I did manage to catch up on most shows, and even managed time for a couple of mini marathons. (And dropped one show and added another. I never learn.)
Once again, I have way too much to say about Sakura Quest… I know I said I’d take a break, but it keeps giving me so much to chew on. I even say some nice things this week!

My apologies, but there’s not going to be a post this week. Not to worry, I’m alive, healthy, and caught up on everything but SukaSuka. But a crazy busy week last week, a busy weekend, and writer’s block yesterday and insomnia last night left me hopelessly behind. (OK, to be honest, I often procrastinate – and this time it bit me in the butt when I hit a roadblock and ran out of time.)
I’m posting because the goal this season is to not drop off the face of the planet like I did last season.
The next two weeks might also be a bit thin. We have plans Memorial Day Weekend (we traditionally spend it geocaching). The following weekend, I’ll be taking part in the Kitsap Medieval Faire which will essentially be four straight long days Thurs-Sun. (But I get to hang out with my fellow history and culinary nerds!) So both weekends, it’ll be a bit rough to stay caught up, let alone get any writing done.
